Re: Authorize.Net Authorize & Capture failing/timing out?
Just FYI. It seems that the issue was a timeout between the SQL server and the web server. I'm not sure why but we had to restart the SQL server. Although we had an issue Tuesday and Wednesday was fine, then Thursday we had issues again - so hopefully nothing happens Saturday. I did enable the loggi...

Re: Authorize.Net Authorize & Capture failing/timing out?
Hmm. Well that shouldn't be happening. As I said the website hasn't been updated and has been running fine. We actually have a webfarm to handle server issues like that. I was talking to the IT team and they checked the SQL server and added some memory for this Able process. Could a SQL server runni...

Re: Authorize.Net Authorize & Capture failing/timing out?
I don't know why I didn't look in the error log - I don't know what any of this means. I updated a typo on a non category/product/checkout page in this website (devonsuperstore.com) but nothing else in months. I made one minor text change the other day. We are also running a second Able site on the ...

Re: Authorize.Net Authorize & Capture failing/timing out?
We use Authorize.Net. Don't seem to be having the problem today - we lost a few orders but some seemed to try a few times and eventually succeeded.
I was thinking it was a communication error - but I wouldn't even know how to troubleshoot it.

Authorize.Net Authorize & Capture failing/timing out?
Hi - We are all of a sudden getting weird issues with checkout. We are setup to Authorize & Capture CC orders. This results in valid, paid orders going to Shipment Pending. Suddenly today about 10-15 orders have gone to Payment Pending which isn't an Order status that we ever use or have. The only P...

Re: LisaLeonardOnline.com, migrated from Magento
That is a really well designed site. It seems very usable and interesting from a design/layout perspective. Looks like alot of work for the able theme. I'm also jealous that have wordpress running the blog - my IT dept. wouldn't load PHP onto the server. A few minor comments of me being nit-picky: T...

Re: Error Page
Is there a way to nix that HTML? Or at least get it to output the proper theme instead of "AbleCommerce"? I have a custom public theme, but am still using AbleCommerce for the Admin area. I built a design for the 404 error page on my site and it works fine and loads the proper HTML/CSS from my them...

Re: BlogEngine.Net use Able objects - commercebuilder
This is somewhat of a bump. So I've got BlogeEngine.Net 2 (release candidate) running under my Able installation on a dev server - as a web app. I followed these instructions from BlogEngine forums to resolve conflicts. They are clearly from an able user: http://blogengine.codeplex.com/Thread/View.a...

I've been working on this site for a few months. My second AbleCommerce site - I dug a little deeper in to Able and did some things I haven't before. Much heavier editing of onepagecheckout, added a tweet button to the FB Like control etc. Interested in thoughts & and bugs you guys might run into. G...

Re: Non-Public Information in each Product
I know this topic is a bit old but I'm stuck. I've successfully added a custom field to the editcategory.aspx using the above code. However, I want to pull that custom field into HTML in the code behind of the pages and I can't seem to do it. I was looking at the ProductCustomFieldsDialog file but i...

ExpandUrlsParser Compiled Code
I was writing some code to pull twitter posts into my store and while doing some Google searches for expanding and parsing URLs in a tweet I came across this: http://www.west-wind.com/WebLog/posts/9779.aspx Which seemed to be exactly what I needed. When I added the class and went to use it, Visual S...

BlogEngine.Net use Able objects - commercebuilder
I'm going to be running BlogEngine.Net under the AbleCommerce installation (url.com/blog/). I've seen the posts about modifying the web.config of Able so BlogEngine can run. What I'm curious about is whether or not I can call Able controls within blogengine. Basically I'll want to build the category...

Re: Login in Popup
You might have to play with a setting like this- I remember I've had to do it at times. FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(user.UserName, false); Response.Redirect(NavigationHelper.GetHomeUrl()); Thank you!! That's what the issue was. I wasn't authorizing the user after login when it was in a popup....

Update License Error "Invalid Field: Path"
I've been trying to setup my able install on our live servers and I'm getting the following error when inputting my license key: The store license could not be updated: The following field[s] are invalid: Path This is my second able store - and the first store I've upgraded twice to 7.0.4 so I'm fam...

Re: Login in Popup
If you search the pages for "RegisterStartupScript", you can find some examples . I can't remember OTMH where it is used. I was using that but for some reason I don't know - I wasn't using startupscript - I was using RegisterClientScriptBlock. StartupScript fixed one issue - after a successful logi...

Login in Popup
I know there are various modal popups in the forums using both a javascript framework (contact) and the modal popup (product send). Ablecommerce.com even uses the modal popup on their homepage for login. I'm trying to have modal popups with Javascript (jquery/fancybox) specifically on the onepageche...

Re: PageNotFound.aspx Query String Help
You can write custom Url Rewriter. Read this wiki topic http://wiki.ablecommerce.com/index.php/URL_Rewrite_Provider_API . There a sample project for both C# and VB is also available. I definitely want to use Able's URL ReWrite and I don't want to write my own :) I just want to capture the client UR...

PageNotFound.aspx Query String Help
I'm building a custom 404 error page but still using the AbleCommerce PageNotFound.aspx. I want to have a search field that gets populated with the terms from the error query string. Since the user is on a 404 Error and not an App Error - I want to keep them there as much as possible (The default Ab...

Re: Where does the site store the scriptlet names?
It just pulls it from the file names in App_Data\Scriptlets\Custom\Content. Nifty "feature": If you duplicated a scriplet like Show Product 1.htm and place it in your \custom\content\ folder without changing the file name - AbleCommerce will use that one over the default and you don't need to go sel...

Well that was surprisingly easy actually. I've attached my final one in a zip with the images I used for buttons/arrows and the jquery plugin (http://sorgalla.com/jcarousel/) and some CSS for an example. Requires you to download jquery: http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.2.min.js DISCLAIMER This isn'...

FeaturedProductsGrid as a repeater
Is it possible to turn the featured products conlib in to a custom control using a repeater instead of a datalist? I need to be able to output very specific HTML in order to create a cool product carousel. I've been looking at the CategoryListPage for ideas since that uses a repeater but I'm confuse...

Yeah.. Apparently either the SQL scripts didn't run, or perhaps I didn't run the upgrade properly. I had IT run the sql scripts and all is good now.
Whoops. Thanks for the help.

Are you using .Net validators? Add SetFocusOnError="true" and it will set the focus to the offending field.

Re: OPC Checkout JS Error
I've searched the files and there isn't anything like that. The default file doesn't have any customizations and I haven't done any code customizations. Just design and some updates to remove HTML tables. Using a Firefox plugin to go to the error - it points to the attached file - which is a ScriptR...
