Payment with Visa and MC only
My store only accept Visa and Master Card. But somehow people still think that they can use Amex. So I would like to specify in the check out process that payment can be made by Visa or Master Card only. I would also like to change the sentences "Pay With a Credit or Debit Card" for "Pay with Visa o...

Re: UPS UnitOfMeasurement Error
The dimensions for this particular product is 13x10x9 inches. AB seems to convert the values to centimeters before to pass it to UPS. This might be normal specially due to our Canadian location? AB might use UPS Canada for their request and therefore converting the value to the metric system? So my ...

UPS UnitOfMeasurement Error
I am trying to figure out why my shipping estimate tool and shipping cost in the check out process is not working. I am using UPS and if I look at the log created I see the error description: 00 is not a valid unit of measurement for dimensions for this shipment. In my store local settings under Adm...

Re: no shipping methods available
I tried with the used Micro Hardness Tester as you mentioned and it doesn't work for me. I also tried with a few different addresses, some in Canada and some in the states and nothing.
Any other comments or suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric

no shipping methods available
I am not 100% sure but I think that since I upgrade to 7.02 that my shipping estimate tool and the shipping cost on the check out process are not working anymore. With both I get an error saying "There are no shipping methods available to the selected destination(s). " You can check my store at http...

How to modify the top Menu adding permanent link
Hi there, I am no expert with AC 7 so if I could get some help on how to modify an existing menu I would greatly appreciate. I have been asked to add a permanent hyperlink at the end of the existing menu, on the extreme right of the contact us link. This link would link to a page on a different web ...

AC Benchmark tests
A nice feature would be some kind of benchmark tests that we could run on our site. This would allow us to pin point different problem such as why we get a slow page loads in the customer and admin section.

Re: Site is loading slow
Wow indeed your site is very slow! Almost 60 sec to load the home page! :( I have the exact same problem with our store and the only response I got from AC was that my site was probably having a low visit rate causing it to be removed from the server cache. I wonder if some type of server are worst ...

Ok thanks for your help, this is working perfectly. I guess if ever I update to the latest version I will have to remember to make those changes manually again.

Re: Hiding add to basket in category pages
OK I made the modification as you mentioned ans saved the files(.aspx, .cs) in my custom folder and uploaded them to my server. However if I go on my store I still see the add to basket buttons, do I have to do something in order for my store to update to my new custom files?
Thanks,
Eric

Hiding add to basket in category pages
Is there a way to hide the "add to basket" button in the default and category pages. Basically I would like to have a "more details" button so that the user will have to get to the detail page to get the "add to basket" button.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: AbleCommerce 7 compatible with windows server 2008 ?
Logan I am glad to see that you guys are looking into this matter. I do agree with your latest post. After testing different scenarios myself, I came to the conclusion that if I wanted my main web site to take advantages of the 3.5 framework that I had to host my store on a different server with a d...

Re: AbleCommerce 7 compatible with windows server 2008 ?
I am still trying to fix my issue in the mean time I never got a strait reply from ablecommerce about if they plan to support .net 3.5 any time soon. Re: AbleCommerce 7 compatible with windows server 2008 ?
Thanks for your reply I think we are getting there. My store is located in a sub folder (set as an application) within my main website. The interesting part is that as you mentioned it seems that my web.config from this sub folder inherit from the root folder's web.config causing the error. Indeed m...

migration to window server 2008 - Error duplicate script
I am trying to migrate my store to window server 2008. My store is located in a sub folder that is set as an application as well. From a post on this forum I read that the IIS virtual host has to be set with it's own application pool, and set it to classic mode. Now the staff at DiscountAsp.net is t...

I am no expert here but I think it depeds of your gateway. For example if you use Paypal you need to create a develloper account with them in order to use the sandbox. If you don't need to test the gateway and only the checkout process then you could have no gateway setup but only payment methods su...
