Aha! Now I understand. So it appears that by default only certain pages in the cart will render Breadcrumbs, and to use them elsewhere requires manual insertion into this web.sitemap page.

I have a follow-on question since this is on our minds:

Is there a simple way to extend this conditional for the purpose of suppressing those entire rows in the grid view... meaning the TAX and SHIPPING lines entirely?

Well... it's suppressing the Qty for all my products now as well. The product is marked shippable in the store admin. Logically the code looks perfect.
