One suggestion might be to have them use the reorder button. This should be on each previous order.

You should be able to use a quantity Volume Discounts for this. You'll need to set the discount scope to both products. Then enable the discount for the product that needs to be purchased to get the free product.

You're right. I don't see a way to have a variable quantity for a kitted product. This is something that would need to be customized unfortunately.

You could try doing this with a kit. Create a product and hide it. It would only be available as part of this kit. You could also create a warehouse and put just this product in it with a shipping method that has a handling fee.

The software is identical. You just get more of it. There is an additional license load balancing or another store. You also get extra development licenses.

I don't see an easy way to do this without customization. A work around might be to create the same affiliate multiple times with different attributes. That could get messy though.

Maybe setting a group based pricing rule would work? You could create a friends and family user group and not give them coupons. You should be able to set which categories under the discount scope when editing the discount.

AbleCommerce does not have an RMA feature. It would need to be customized. I do not know of a 3rd party plug-in that currently handles RMA's.

Under Manage > Low Inventory is where you can find all the stock levels.

Since back ordering is on the customer can keep ordering them. The merchant would need to tell the customer that certain items are on back order. This gives the merchant a chance to save the sale rather than have customer go elsewhere.

This worked for me. I went to the profile, changed the email address and went back to the order. It showed up as the modified email address in the bill to area. Are you able to reproduce this every time?
