AJAX Issues During Checkout on One Page Checkout

I've had several reports from customers that have tried to check out on our AC7 site but they were not able to get to the second part of the one page checkout. The reports are consistant, too. They all say they were able to enter their billing info, but when they hit continue, the page grays out and...

AC7 and Google Website Optimizer

Hi all, Has anybody messed around with Google Website Optimizer and AC7? I'm interested in running a split test to see if replacing the AJAX Minibasket with a different flow will have any effect on conversion rates. I'd like to have customers that add product to a page be sent to the Cart Review pag...

Re: Abandoned basket

Hi all,

Does anybody know when exactly a basket is considered to be abandoned by AC (and therefore show up in the abandoned basket reort)?

Thanks,

Re: buyer search statistics

Spenser321,

The easiest way to do this is to use Google Analytics' Site Search function (http://analytics.blogspot.com/2007/11/s ... lable.html).

Re: Source for Payment Gateway Authorize.net

Hello, I am working with a payment processor that has an Authorize.net emulation mode. Here's an excerpt from their site ( http://www.eprocessingnetwork.com/Utilities.html#INTEGRATION%20DIAGNOSTICS ): eProcessingNetwork also offers emulation of Authorize.Net TM. This makes it easy for developers who...

I've got 11 pages indexed out of 1,587 in the sitemap. The total number of pages in search results is higher due to the Google going through all the product finder text links.

The quick fix is to do a search and replace of all references to "https:" and change them to "http:" in your favorite text editor. Another quick tip to find out how Google has indexed your site is to type "site:www.YOURDOMAIN.com" in Google. I noticed that Google has indexed all of our Search pages,...

Google Indexing Issues

Hi all, I've got another one of those issues that's making me scratch my head quite a bit. Our site has been live over a month now and I've submitted my sitemap to Google several times, but Google has yet to crawl anything other than the static pages and every single search result page. They have no...

Mike, Thanks for the tool. I've been using something similar, but it's nice to see options. On a site like yours I'd try to keep the size below 200k to encourage shoppers to browse around and buy. I've gotten my site down in the 380K range I think getting to the 200K size is very difficult given AC7...

Turns out that you can do the same for Microsoft Live Search. Use the following url for the ping:

Code: Select all

http://webmaster.live.com/ping.aspx?siteMap=[Your sitemap web address]

Here's my contribution... I've added the following lines to \Admin\Website\CommonXMLSiteMap.aspx to make it easier to ping these search engines when I make a new SiteMap file. (<a href="http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/ping?sitemap=http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/sitemap.xml">Yahoo</a> &...

I'm still at a loss with this one, but I thought I would give you guys an update. I've installed AC on another one of our domains in demo mode (http://www.decoratorfans.com) and it is not having the same issues. I've compared every single file in the new installation with the equivalent one in the h...

Would love to see some way to upload a report setup of some kind that others could download and easily benefit from.
I'd like to see it even if it wasn't all that easy to benefit from

Custom Reports Repository

AC's built in reports are nice, but pretty basic. I'd like to look into adding some of my own reports to enhance the offering. Has anybody created any custom reports either with or without charting? If yes, was the process easy? Would you be willing to share the reports? Maybe we could all contribut...

Sorry, should have been more specific... You said that the Google Base Feed worked right off the bat for you. Did you upload from AC 7 or did you get the file off the AC 7 database, put it into Excel and then upload it ( thats our work around and it works ok). But is that how to do it with the other...

Hi guys,

Our Google Base feed worked right off the bat on AC7 RC2. I didn't bother with the FTP account, though. We have approx 1500 products and the standard feed upload option worked fine. Once uploaded, it took Google a day to get it "Published and Searchable."

Dave,

The issue only happens on category and product pages. I've got several pages that were created as webpage entries in the catalog, and those pages seem to show up just fine. All other aspx pages also work fine.

Joe, By GUI, I'm referring to IIS > [web site] > properties > ASP.NET > Edit Configuration > State Management. Not the global one. The GUI is indeed changing the right file. I can verify by editing web.config and opening the GUI or by editing the GUI and opening the web.config. Whatever values I plu...

Joe, Thanks for the details. Our SessionState line in web.config looks like this: sessionState cookieless="AutoDetect" cookieName="AC7.SESSIONID" timeout="90" Changing this to what you have causes the exceptions to be thrown. I've got Session state mode = InProc in the GUI. Changing the cookieless p...

Mike, That's exactly what I'm worried about. I'll tell you this, I'm certain that product and category pages were not setting cookies prior to the "Cookieless" setting change. I looked through all the code that's accessible to us as admins and found that AC sets its cookies via the global.asax Appli...

Dave, There are components on these pages that require session variables in order to track. My guess is that if these cookies aren't set right, those components (cart, wishlist, etc) throw exceptions. That's what was happening to us. I was able to see that the product and category pages (when linked...

I did a lot of debug over night and found that none of my category or product pages were setting the cookies that the home page sets. This seemed very strange to me since I haven't made any changes to the global.asax file where these cookies are set. Working with my host, we changed the setting of C...
