Re: Changing Admin Password
I'm using the latest version of AC, and Windows XP. Can't change the password in any browser I use, the ones mentioned above. In short, can't do much within ADMIN, so I've stopped building my site. Just don't have that kind of time.

Changing Admin Password
Can't change my password to log in. I've tried FireFox, IE7, IE8. Just won't take. (by the way, this is located on the main Dashboard page). Right now, I'm typing this with IE8 and it barely lets me type text into this box. If I go reaaaaaly slow, it can be done. But just typing these few words has ...

Re: Kits, Categories and Wireframes
Yes, Scott, I can see how the mod is working for both the category and product pages. But I have a question regarding the items on the drop-down list on product pages. Item #1 = 4.99 1 lb - single = 4.99 1 lb - 12 pack case = 35.00 Before building this kit, you need to make the 2 SKU's shown on the ...

Re: Options Kits etc
I forgot to mention a nasty little surprise. This procedure will work fine, for a little while. A problem arises when it's time to update your pricing. If you go back to your base product and increase the price to $ 64, the kit price does not automatically update. It will keep the old base price of ...

Re: Options Kits etc
The kit itself isn't too hard but dealing with pricing is tricky. To create a Kit: 1] Build your main (base) product. 2] Build each of your options as individual products. Example: Product 1] BW2024 - B/W Print 20 x 24 - $ 60 Product 2] BW2436 - Increase size to 24 x 36 - $ 22 Product 3] BW3648 - In...

Re: Kits, Categories and Wireframes
PLATFORM: ASP.NET VERSION: 7.0 BUILD: 9879 Thanks jmestep, I didn't see that post before but I've saved it now just in case I can use it later. There's two basic problems at work here: Kit option doesn't work as it appears it should Displaying deeper category levels KITS: When you add and item to a ...

Kits, Categories and Wireframes
Hang with me, this one's a puzzler. I have products that come in different sizes, each at a different price: 3201 Plate - 10.01, 3202 Plate - 11.18, 3203 Plate - 11.60, 3204 Plate - 12.01 First, I create a "fake" base product: 320 Plates. I then marked the actual products as "hidden". Using a Kit, I...

Re: Shipping rate differences
Shipping is really confusing, even for simple orders. When I get an estimate for a small item going UPS ground, the calculator returns $ 6.83. When I continue on through the checkout process the shipping charge somehow becomes $ 8.44. Not sure how the same item can go to the same city and zip but re...

Re: Retaining Categories in left side panel.
OK, with that great information the fog is lifting. Since I'm just starting to build our site I think step 1 is for me to map out how I want each page type to behave. Once I have a master plan I can better tweak each individual page type. Up to now I've just been experimenting to learn how the puzzl...

Re: Retaining Categories in left side panel.
PLATFORM: ASP.NET VERSION: 7.0 BUILD: 9879 I'm new to this but starting to get the hang of it. There's still a problem I cannot solve and it deals with sub-categories. Here's a multi-level list of categories and the left sidebar contents: Level 1 - HOME - [standard sidebar 1] - displays categories L...

Re: Newbie Shipping Setup for US only
Thanks for the great tips. I looked on the UPS web site to see if you could create a "rate feed" account used for online carts. They used to have one a few years ago but I didn't see it this time I signed up. If anyone knows how the trick to signing up without a credit card it would help everyone if...

Newbie Shipping Setup for US only
PLATFORM: ASP.NET VERSION: 7.0 BUILD: 9879 Having lots of issues with shipping via UPS. First, you have to create a UPS account and give them your credit card number. Since everything we sell is drop ship I won't be using the account, but I imaging they'll send be a bill each month anyway for $0 shi...
