Re: Advice Needed: How to Set Up Pricing Discounts
Okay - the wholesale issue is working. The category discount had products selected as well. I deleted the products and applied to the whole category and that discount is working.
Still need the BOGO ideas.

Re: [[ConLib:ReceiptPage]] The directive 'page' is unknown.
I replaced the conlib files and the scriplet file. There is nothing in the custom folder.
As far as the templates go, I have customized the header, the footer and the right side panel css, but not added anything other than asthetics, and that was done via notepad.

Re: Changing Domain Name for Website
Don't forget to ask your host to make the new domain the primary name, and leave the other domain as a domain name pointer to root, that way you don't lose search engine ranking if you are relying on natural results. Otherwise, you can do a response.redirect page for products and categories until th...

Re: [[ConLib:ReceiptPage]] The directive 'page' is unknown.
I replaced the conlib files and the scriplet file. To no avail. Still getting the error. Again, I know many carts will give an error if the mail host info is not correct. Is this the case here? We are on a temp site and the mail would usually be mail.ourdomain.com, but since the site isn't live, it ...

Re: Hosting companies
I love love love http://www.appliei.net -- their tech support, sales, entire staff is AWESOME. Go Daddy is horrible. If you want to spend 30 minutes on hold just to tell their technical support what they need to do in order to help you, then go for it. I am about to the point that I will flat out re...

Re: [[ConLib:ReceiptPage]] The directive 'page' is unknown.
I had a code at the beginning of the page: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="ReceiptPage.ascx.cs" Inherits="ConLib_ReceiptPage" %> I have never opened these pages before and reuploaded the files just in case, with the same error. I deleted the code above and saved it to the ...

Troubleshooting Scriptlets on Custom Pages
I am having some real issues with the scriptlets and custom pages. For instance, I tried using the scriptlets for the ContactUs.aspx page and the title says "Currencies". I tried copying webpage.aspx and renaming it as affiliates.aspx, navigating to the site logged in as admin, then changing the con...

Re: Total Traffic Exceeded!?!? LIVE SITE IS DOWN...Please help
There are several things you look at when you are setting up or upgrading your hosting: * traffic space - the space for people coming to your site * rack space/storage, etc. - the space that your PAGES, images, files, etc. take up * database space - this is going to be your biggest expenditure with ...

I am getting the following error on checkout. Is this an error just due to the email for the app? We are on a test server and there is no way to test the email without the domain name in place.

Re: Total Traffic Exceeded!?!? LIVE SITE IS DOWN...Please help
1) Call your host.
2) Sometimes, it isn't the traffic but rather the DATABASE space (if you are running SQL Server), in which case you can upgrade your database space, and you would still probably need to call your host to do that, too.

Help Setting Up Pricing Discounts/ Buy X Get X Free
I need help on how to set this up -- the issue comes with the fact that the items are mix and match. We have a group of products that are all the same base price. People get a discount with the products, all mix and match. There are currently 24 of these products, and some belong to multiple categor...

Require Approval for a Group of Users (Wholesale)
We sell directly to the public as well as to practitioners. We need a registration page just for wholesale access that will assign the practitioner to a wholesale group and have them default to a pending status for approval/denial. Basically, we need to verify they are valid businesses and then appr...

Re: Making "Recently Viewed " with Icons
Got it. Go to conlib/RecentlyViewed.ascx.cs at line 100, you will see: if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(product.ThumbnailUrl)) { thumbnail.ImageUrl = product.ThumbnailUrl; thumbnail.Attributes.Add("hspace", "2"); thumbnail.Attributes.Add("vspace", "2"); } What the code is saying is to look at the PRODUCT t...

Re: Is there a Plain White & Gray Template?
Are those templates free and available for download? I didn't think that they were. I was just looking for a very plain starter - no buttons, no graphics, just CSS and white and gray. I started with the green one, and worked through that... there are A LOT of missing graphic references and commented...

Making "Recently Viewed " with Icons
I didn't see this anywhere... I love the recently view feature, but it takes up more space than I want to give up... Has anyone changes this to just have the item description, an icon and the price (similar to the mini basket contents)? If not, I will do it later today and post it.... almost been up...

For anyone else looking for this, I changed it there (categories pages), but it also needed to be changed in the styles.css: /* node in the catalog display - used in table layouts */ .catalog .tableNode { vertical-align:top;} It was not in the first stylesheet I was looking in, but it is in the one ...

I changed it in CategoryGridPage3, which is where the code was located, but it didn't make the change.
It is a pet peeve of mine for the images not to line up because there are different lines of text for the product - looks disorganized. I will try to find a way to work around it.

Positioning Thumbnails in Categories
I searched for this in the forums but didn't see anything. Where do you change the alignment for the thumbnails in the category? If I look at the code on the page, it says: <td align="center" class="tableNode" style="width: 33%;" valign="bottom"> However, in the CSS, there is nothing specifying the ...
