Authorize.net md5 hash phase-out
:?: If I am using the Authorize.net payment gateway as it shipped with AC Gold, are my transactions encrypted with the MD5 hash value configured in the Authorize.net merchant admin? :?: I received an email from authorize.net that my client has an MD5 hash value configured, and it is being phased out...

Page is enforced to load as http, when SSL is enabled
Hi, I am in the process of enabling https to my site. there is a problem with some pages where the server is forcing the pages to load in http even though the requested is initiated as https. I have enabled the secure all pages option under security. AbleCommerce version VERSION: 7.0.91.8643 Release...

Re: Weight restrict a vary-by-cost shipping method?
Hi Katie,
I have a shipping method of the type, "vary by cost." I want to make items above a specified "max weight" ineligible for that ship method, similar to how there are max/min weight restrictions for integrated carriers.

Is it possible to weight restrict a "vary-by-cost" shipping method? With a little custom code?

Re: UPS "Enable Packaging" not behaving as expected
I had hoped the setting meant "allow individual items to be spread amongst multiple packages if the total weight of items exceeds the maximum weight of a shipping method." In other words, "it doesn't have to be all inside one box. Or are you telling me the way I'm asking for it to function is alread...

UPS "Enable Packaging" not behaving as expected
Good day, I noticed what I at first diagnosed as UPS Online Tools' shipping methods failing to honor the maximum per-item shipping weight. I would have more than 150 lbs of items in a basket (with 50lbs set as the maximum package weight), but UPS methods would still be available for shipping estimat...

We got UPS LTL freight working if anyone is interested. Still working through some minor issues with periodic non-response to API requests, and apparently max/min weights for integrated carriers not being honored.

FYI I did some investigation, and the users went from enabled to enabled during the upgrade from 7.07 to Gold (I ran a backup immediately before/after the upgrade)

Re: Customer Accounts Disabled?
I just found 4379 disabled (isapproved=0) users on my client's site, which was upgraded on 1/16. Haven't had time to do any investigation yet, but I did go as far as seeing they weren't disabled before the upgrade.
has anyone investigated this further?

Re: UPS Freight?
Did anyone ever code UPS ground FREIGHT as a shipping method into AbleCommerce? Or does anyone still need it if I build it? I'm talking about LTL freight, not the other UPS shipping methods.

Hi Katie, The code snippet came from the app.log. Re: An item with the same key has already been added.
Found the problem. Does anyone know if this is resolved in GOLD? There is a huge sql query failing: DELETE FROM CUSTOM_Urls where ID not in (1,2,3,4,5...) and the comma separated string goes on for over a megabyte. It seems to be listing every non-orphaned customUrl in the store. Wouldn't this be be...

Re: EmailTemplateDataSource.Load(), read-only?
Thanks Judy/Jay,
Judy- that's exactly what's going on. Do you remember if that bug was in a Gold version?
I'm relieved to know there's a history of this occurring, and now I know to look for the .Save() method being called.
cd

EmailTemplateDataSource.Load(), read-only?
very basic question: Is EmailTemplateDataSource.Load() supposed to be read-only, or read-write? Here's my problem: A developer was trying to use an email template in the traditional sense of a “template,” to "fill in the blanks" (populate parameters with values), and send an email. But when the valu...

I just gave a developer the code from this post to implement a user registration email verification, and then I noticed the "Email List Signup Wi...

Re: AC7 to Gold upgrade error.
OK I had to recycle the app pool and tell the store settings not to use the old theme. The site is kind of limping along now, as expected without my indexes added back yet. The recycle might have been all I needed to stop that redirect from happening (maybe it was read from the store settings before...

Re: AC7 to Gold upgrade error.
So I'm stuck. Whenever I open my browser to the /admin URL, it redirects to the SSL login of the OLD (existing site's) admin URL, and when I browse to the home page, I get: This file is required by IIS so that your website can be accessed without a file name specified. To edit your home page, log in...

Re: AC7 to Gold upgrade error.
OH... and maybe kick me maybe not for this- I didn't have .Net45 installed, so I grabbed a web.config that indicated .Net40 from the frameworks directory before I started all of this upgrade work. I'm installing 4.5 now.

ugh. OK I killed all my custom indexes/stats until the SQL portion of the upgrade scripts could run completely. Re: AC7 to Gold upgrade error.
this is encouraging, when running SQL scripts on the database. New errors. The first few appear to be for stuff that as already been added or dropped. The next ones, I'm guessing, are from custom indexes that I need to get rid of: Msg 2705, Level 16, State 4, Line 13 Column names in each table must ...
