Re: Identify Abandoned Cart Users IP address?

Mazhar, Wouldn't that only work if an order was created? This situation is resulting in abandoned baskets as I think they haven't figured out how to pay for an order yet under the assumed users card yet (if they are going to, they may just want to screw with creating abandoned baskets). You mentione...

Identify Abandoned Cart Users IP address?

I am seeing a problem on our site with an abandoned basket for a registered user. I know the user and they have not been in the site putting items in a basket. But someone has picked up their user ID and is doing so. I could narrow down where this is coming from, if I could get the IP address associ...

Re: When do users get created?

I am guessing, from an unexperienced point of view, that a new user account is not created just from a visit. A user , I'm thinking, at that point is similar to a session ID used to track the path and activity of a visitor to the site, and keep information related to that activity available for use ...

Re: Problem editing Email Templates

As far as that icon to change the email address to test/preview email messages, it does change the email address on the order. Is there not just an email override to allow testing without messing up the order? And regarding the preview, if the preview is just a view of the unpopulated template, I ha...

Re: Problem editting Email Templates

I see now how to change the email address for the message test by checking on the icon next to the email address. Just need to look harder I guess. I am wondering if messages that use the same Content File reference have the same message content. I have gone back in and created a new email template ...

Problem editing Email Templates

I am not the one usually maintaining the site, but I have been asked to help. I was working on the Order confirmation email template and triggers under 7.03 build 12458. There was a pre-existing copy of the Order Confirmation template before I started. I wanted to create an Order Cancellation templa...

Re: Forms in webpages

For those that might be interested in embedding Google directions mapping API's into their Able site, I have finally worked thru the issues I had and have the Google directions-advanced.html example code working. And not knowing .Net or Javascript it took a bit longer for me than probably for any of...

Re: Forms in webpages

Mazhar, Thanks for the post reference. I will look into it in more detail, but first glance indicates the solution is around a fairly static map and placing pins on it rather than a dynamic map with generated driving directions. I'd have to learn more about that solution and the API coding to see if...

Re: Forms in webpages

Continuing this discussion on handling nested forms, I am certainly new to .Net and am helping someone migrate their site app from .ASP to the Able platform. One of the things I've been asked to do and struggling with is embedding the Google Mapping API into the site to allow generating directions t...

Re: Catalog Only at Product Level

Thanks Judy,

That does look like where the changes will have to be made.

I would have thought Hide Price would be more definitive than it is. I will look at making that attribute work as expected in our install.

Re: Catalog Only at Product Level

Thanks Judy, Like I said, I have tried all the combinations of the above three switches and the result is that pricing is still viewable. Hide price prevents the price from initially showing but with a "Click Here" link, displays it on request. I need to prevent access to pricing at the product leve...

Re: Catalog Only at Product Level

I have tried combinations of Prohibited, Disable Purchase, and Hide Price and can find none that suppresses the display of pricing data. Prohibited removes shopping cart ability, and hide price doesn't initially show product pricing but is clickable to display it. I need to suppress any display of p...
