Did you try switching the Configure/Store/Volume Discounts setting to the "Group by Category" mode?

With that toggle, all the products that belong to a given discount category are tallied together to qualify for the discount.

Hi Mike, This might be a bit weak, but you can set up a Volume Discount for specific multiples, although it might look a bit odd on the Product page. Yes, I see exactly the same results when printing invoices with a long list of products. The header gets printed seperately from the product list. I also sometimes get a leading blank page before anything prints.

But it looks like maybe a problem in IE8. It seems to work OK in Firefox.
