Hi,
Yes, I finally tried that and It seems to be working. It takes forever to get stuff out of Google's index!
Thanks!

Re: Add noindex to search URLS
OK, so I "tried" to follow the instructions on this post: I did this but got a server error. http://forums.ablecommerce.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=18510&p=81048&hilit=noindex+search+page#p81048 There were 2 sets of instructions. I tried the set towards the bottom of the post where this line: BindSearc...

Add noindex to search URLS
Hi, 1. We're an older site so 150 "search" pages are already in Google's index and we don't want them to be. 2. We can add a disallow in Robots.txt but that won't take the pages our of the index. 3. We read we should put a noindex on the search page but I'm not sure where (which page) that should go...

Re: Database attack of some sort right now
Thanks Jay, these are not real users and I just found those settings. I knew where was something in somewhere! I'm going to run maintenance on the anonymous user (and their baskets) and the lord willing it should clean them all out. It says to do it off hours because it will probably bog down the si...

Re: Database attack of some sort right now
In case anyone else has this problem, here is what I ended up doing: 1. Called my hosting company (managed hosting service) they said they could do nothing. They did say talk to Cloudflare. 2. Put in a support ticket to Cloudflare and I also set the site to "attack" mode. Cloudflare was able to see ...

It's still going on, the basket has 30,000 items now, I can't stop this. How is this even possible?

Re: Database attack of some sort right now
Short of shutting down SQL server I don't know what to do, it's not stopping. Is there a way to purge these bogus carts or otherwise stop this?
Thanks
Thanks

Database attack of some sort right now
Hi,
If anyone can help, someone is "injecting" orders (attempted orders) into our system right now. I don't know their IP to block because we use cloudflare. They've loaded up almost 1100 baskets, I'm concerned the site will fail. Any help?
Thanks,
Barb

Re: schema.org missing markup
As a stop-gap fix I'm trying to get rid of the h1 product name in the store header and let the original one in the product page show. I tried to comment it out but did something incorrectly and it broke the page. For now I made it an h2, so I don't have 2 h1's but I have the product name showing twi...

Hi Judy, I added the itemprop="name" and when I view source I see this: <div id="ctl00_ctl00_NestedMaster_PageHeader_StoreHeader_H_PageCaption" class="row captionCantainer"> <div class="col-md-6"> <h1 style="font-size:28px; color:#032834;font-family:'Bitter',serif;margin:5px 0;"><span id="ctl00_ctl0...

Re: schema.org missing markup
It looks like the product name is in the store header StoreHeader_H_nameLabel I don't know if changing that will work or not because in default AC code the wrapper for the product microdata is in Product.aspx and normally the header is outside that. <div id="productPage" class="mainContentWrapper" ...

Schema.org "name" field missing
Hi, Hopefully someone out there can help out. I think I wrote about this a long time ago. Due to a modification to our site the schema.org <meta itemprop="name" content="blah blah"> tag does not show up for any of our products. Although I know it should get fixed in the code I haven't been able to g...

Re: Replace AbleCommerce Gold Search with AddSearch
Hi, thanks! I'd love to see what Bing has to offer, I didn't realize they had a product. Is that a free search or paid? We've always paid given we don't like a bunch of ads ahead of our content. Addsearch has some great features like WE can prioritize different types of content in the search results...

Replace AbleCommerce Gold Search with AddSearch
Hi, This is probably a shot in the dark but... Our site is pretty large with a lot of different content. All of my site, EXCEPT for Able uses a search utility called AddSearch. We used to use paid Google search for years but they discontinued their product. I would like to add AddSearch to replace t...

Hi,
Thanks for that excellent explanation! We'll just have to continue to make sure all orders are properly funded before shipping.

Option to \ not create order unless it has a successful pay
Hi,
I have the option turned on for: Do not create order unless it has a successful payment. Even so, if someone proceeds to pay with Paypal but returns to the site without paying, the order is saved. Can I stop this behavior? Or maybe there is a conflicting feature I can resolve?
Thanks!
Barbara

Re: Paypal Standard Return To Site No Order Verification
Ok, putting my email in instead of the account number created a new problem. When I tried to void the payment via Able, it failed and says "Signature Credential arguments cannot be null " so I put my account number back.

Re: Paypal Standard Return To Site No Order Verification
Hi,
There does not appear to be any special setting on the config page that I see.
The only things filled in on my config page is my PayPal acct #, return IPN , test and live URLs.
Thanks

Re: Paypal Standard Return To Site No Order Verification
You can checkout with a credit card (not having a paypal account) by using Paypal Standard by clicking the Paying with "Paypal) (which I renamed to "Paypal / Credit card" otherwise it looks like they can only pay if they use Paypal.) then click on the button that says pay with debit/ credit card: Se...

Re: Paypal Standard Return To Site No Order Verification
Hi Katie, thanks. I already double checked the return IPN and it was correct. So in addition to them not returning to the reciept page, I have to manually go to PayPal to capture the sale, it does not work from the Able dashboard like it should. Those instructions shown on the screen when you select...

Paypal Standard Return To Site No Order Verification
Hi, I'm using Paypal Standard. After the user pays with Paypal, they return to the home shopping page so they don't see any receipt or any notification that the order has been completed. Is there a way for them to see notification that the order was placed? Thanks Barb And this text shows on the pay...
