That I know of there is not an interaction between search and the maintenance routines. For lucene, indexes are updated incrementally when something is changed in the database, and the only maintenance type of feature is the ability to manually rebuild an index.

It looks like we mixed up a field length in the database creation. If you have access to the database you can fix this locally by editing the table design. In the table ac_Products, edit the field MetaKeywords and extend the length to 1000.
