Remember there are multiple shipping gateways and the requirements are likely different gateway to gateway. The estimator is designed to work with them all, but you may be able to make it simpler for just one gateway.

Hi,
Sounds more like a re-direct issue. An incorrect license key would be the most likely issue, but I sounds like you've already removed that. But perhaps you have an IIS redirect setup or something in your default.aspx?

Hello,
IIS 7 has been required from the start, IIS 6 is not a supported web server and we haven't been testing on it for years.

Hello,
I got a timeout error. Where is this being hosted? Your getting errors that are not being reported by anyone else.

Re: MVC on the roadmap?
We just removed MVC from voting in the feature request system (uservoice), it's not received a vote in over a year. It would be a rewrite of the entire front facing store pages, so it's more likely to happen during a major release if we ever get enough community support. I guess not everyone wants t...

Hello,
We've just started investigating this as there wasn't time to get it into the latest release of GOLD. We'll update this thread further as information becomes available from development.

Hello,
We're looking for feedback on this should be implemented, so please give us your thoughts!
There are automatic attributes possible, such by brand and price which are already available in the database and manually assigning the products to filtered criteria.

Re: Upgrade from 5.5 to Gold - Store Export Tool Error
The new tools are much easier to work with. If you need 7.0.7 and a temp key just put in a request via your order.
The 7.0.7 to GOLD upgrade is actually performed during the GOLD install. You point the GOLD install to the 7.0.7 database and it upgrades it.

Re: Upgrade from 5.5 to Gold - Store Export Tool Error
Since AC doesn't officially support the Store Export Utility, is it possible to get the source code so we can attempt to "fix" it? We're looking into our older archives and we'll let you know if we can locate the source for it. Trouble is that even if it's located you'd need to have an old developm...

Hello,
You need to get the 5.5 data into 7.0.7, then run the GOLD upgrade against the 7.0.7 db.

Re: Upgrade from 5.5 to Gold - Store Export Tool Error
Hello,
The 5.5 export tool requires Asp.net 1.1, which tells you how old it is. We've used it pretty recently to export a 5.5 store and it worked fine on an MSSQL database. But you are going to have to find an older computer to use it on.

Hello Chris,
Since the GOLD files are totally different than the 7.0.2 files you're only option is to just move the data from 7 to GOLD, then re-incorporate the look and feel of your store pages into GOLD.

Hello,
It's the same as before, but if you run the data export tool on the sql server directly it shouldn't take hours. We've done really large stores and it never took that long. Be sure to clean up the db before doing the migration!

Re: Ready to Go Live! How To / What's Next?
Hello, That's a bit difficult to answer specifically due to variations in hosting setups. However when we do a live site cut over we like to move the IP address from the previous site to the new site so there isn't a delay in the cut over due to DNS propagation. 1. Move the ip to the new site. 2. de...

Hello,
Typically you'd just set the store to admin access only or set the port to something goggle and others access. 8080 is the typical port for experimental.

Hello David,
Lucene is going to need a lot of processor and memory for that many products as it's memory based. Could you please let us know what you mean by much better results and perhaps we can improve the sql full text search which is better for that amount of products.
