Re: Differences between .net Framework 2.0 32Bit and 64Bit?

Google has a language translation utility you can use Dr. Logan: http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en Event Code: 3005 Event message: It is an unhandled exception occurred. Maybe AC can use an IO.MemoryStream instead of writing them to disk so permissions would not need to be an issue?

I run several vBulletin sites, they do NOT have the back issue. It is far superior to this crapt of a forum and what we have here is NOT conducive to a happy, productive, helping community. However, if you click back on this trash of a forum'ware, just click REFRESH and it will requery. I have been ...

Vista is fine, the point is that's not what you're going to run your web site or SQL Server on. Your web site should be on a Windows Server 2003 machine specifically for running web sites. Your SQL Server should be on a dedicated SQL box running nothing else and tuned for SQL Server. Regarding RAID,...

Is your SQL Server also running on this same machine as AC7 (Web) and other applications or is SQL Server on its own dedicated machine?

Re: Search

i have large number of products in database and each search query takes 3-9 secs in local machines, is there any way we can implement Full Text Search in AC? :? I think this is an issue on your SQL Server or resources available. AC7 is extremely fast. You may want to test against a production SQL S...

I wouldn't touch the IIS session timeout. What you should do (Logan/AC) is have an option in the AC7 Admin to enable "keep alive" that will refresh the admin section every 15 minutes or so which prevents the session from expiring. There could be nasty side effects of extending the sessionin IIS such...

Out of curiosity, how does this timeout pair with session timeout? You may have a 90 minute timeout for your admin side, but what if your IIS session times out, default of which is 20 minutes?

Here are a few links to help anyone interested in learning WCF: 15 web casts (not really needed, but I am really into this WCF now!) http://www.dasblon...

The question though as to whether AC7 will work in VS 2008 is still open. I don't have the source yet, but due to the fact that AC7 uses WSE 3.0/WS-* (due to payment processor integrations) VS 2008 is NOT compatible with WSE. We recently had to move all of our web services to WCF (Windows Communicat...

I haven't looked, but maybe the AC Log needs to distinguish message levels, i.e. Error, Warning, Information, etc. It sounds like people may get carried away by entries that are simply for informational purposes only but are NOT errors in the store'ware.

For ESD, it is definitely better to FTP up and then link to the files within AC's admin. However, I was just pointing out the default limit is customizable, we use this for our web services as we do web service uploading such as a backup to web feature and this requires us to open up this limitation...

The max upload can be modified in the web.config, 4 MB is the default, but easily changed. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e1f13641(vs.71).aspx You'll need a httpRuntime section and within maxRequestLength and executionTimeout, for example: httpRuntime maxRequestLength="30720" executionTime...

I agree, a full audit capability is a high priority to me. Every e-mail that is sent manually especially. I do not recommend changing the AppPool, you are not fixing the problem. The problem you need to fix is your lack of traffic. Pinging should not be required, and as I stated, if no one is coming to your site, it's a moot point, you are simply causing the server to work needlessly. Get AC7 in product...

I would not suggest pre-compiling your site. It is normal if your site gets no activity for it to delay as you are seeing. If your site is not getting any activity, it's probably a moot point, but if you want to keep your site "alive" then you would have to use a ping utility such as: http://www.sma...

Site looks great! My only suggestion is your breadcrumbs are left aligned on the page, I think it would look better if it was left aligned with the product.
