Re: SSL Redirect Loop
I'm having exactly the same issue. Any chance you found a solution or does anyone else know what is causing this? We're really close to completing the site and releasing it to the public and this is a total roadblock since we can't test card processing. I can browse the whole site just fine using ht...

Turning on SSL causes Login to page to fail
My client recently turned on SSL for the site in preparation for going to production soon. We found that you can browse the site with https protocol with no trouble at all, however, when we click the login link to open Login.aspx the call never completes. IE 7 and 8 will sit there forever waiting fo...

Re: Extended price in Mini Basket
I followed that advice and it got me part way to where I want to go. I need to show the discount extended price. Is there an easy way to get that in the minibasket? My client doesn't like the original cart where it shows the discount as a separate line, he wants it to show the final price for each i...

Re: Can't find the correct version of DataPort to run
Thanks for clarifying that. Since posting that I have discovered that DataPort was running fine for my client, other than the error message. When they told me they were getting an error message and I confirmed the error message I just assumed that DataPort wouldn't run since normally you'd want to p...

Can't find the correct version of DataPort to run
Last March I updated to build 11659 of AC. The update patch I have doesn't indicate if this is 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2 or what. CommerceBuilder.dll is dated 2/10/2009. I have tried DataPort 7.0.34 and I get the error: Warning: Version mismatch, Store version '7.0.0' did not match the expected version '7.0...

Re: Which table holds the link between product & category?
Of course you are right. I had copied the data into that table but it looks like only part of it was copied. I changed how I am migrating the data and now the products show up in the categories like they should.
Thanks for the help!

Which table holds the link between product & category?
Due to some change I made with my host the AbleCommerce database logins and permissions got all messed up. I was having a heck of a time getting them fixed so I decided to rebuild the database (we're still in development so it wasn't a horribly dangerous decision). I have been migrating the data fro...

Re: Migrated to production server now I can't login as admin
Actually, I'm glad you wrote because I should update this post anyway. It turns out I was partially incorrect as to the cause of the problem. It is due to the mix of Linux+Apache vs Microsoft IIS, however it wasn't entirely caused by the case of the file names. Using Fiddler2 (it's an HTTP debugging...

Re: Migrated to production server now I can't login as admin
Figured out what's causing it but I'm not sure how to solve it at the moment. We host with Mosso.com. They allow you to select either Windows or Linux hosting environments by default but you can mix technologies so you can put aspx files on a site that is defaulted to Linux and they get fed to an II...

Re: Migrated to production server now I can't login as admin
Did you tried to login by clicking the login button after providing it credentials instead of hitting enter key? Good point and it revealed something. Clicking Login doesn't do anything at all. It behaves as if that isn't a clickable button. The Register button on the same page does respond to clic...

Re: Migrated to production server now I can't login as admin
I tried the demomode switch but it didn't appear to do anything. Do I need to restart IIS to make that take effect? I don't think my ISP will let me recycle the ASP.Net worker process. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and see if it recycles on its own and picks up the change. It is not running under...

Migrated to production server now I can't login as admin
I moved from our beta.domain address to http://www.domain address, updated the license key and the site works except that when I try to login as the admin it never prompts me for the captcha and doesn't actually log me in. It returns me to the search page as an anonymous user. I'm wondering if there...

Re: Is there a way in the admin side to see all products at once
Cool, Thanks guys! mazhar: Thanks for the All Products page. I'll look that over and put it up on the site for my client to try. Adrian: Thanks for the workaround. That's a great little hack for seeing everything. I don't think he's going to be using the inventory at all so I bet they'll all be zero...

Is there a way in the admin side to see all products at once
I've looked all over the admin pages and maybe I've missed it but I would think there should be a way to see all products in one list regardless of the category they are in. Right now it looks like we'll have to memorize every category so we'll be able to find a product to edit it. Am I missing some...

Does increasing the default CC# storage time violate PCI?
My client doesn't like the default 60 (or is it 30?) day storage for credit card numbers. He wants it increased to a year or more. I've looked over some of the PCI stuff and don't see that it's a problem (at least as far as compliance goes). I've told him that I don't think it's a good idea but, obv...

Re: SQL Server 2005 Express on different server?
From what I've seen while briefly going over the PCI documents I think Visa can make you pay a fine if you don't comply with the PCI standards as well as denying you the ability to take Visa cards. While that technically doesn't "force" you to comply, I'm guessing most merchants wouldn't want to los...

Re: Can I have single piece pricing but force purchase of 100 pk
Thanks for sharing that code. That will certainly solve a chunk of my problem. I'm wondering where's the best place in the database to indicate the increment size. Is there a recommended place to put custom values like that? I really don't want to add a field to the product table since it would make...

Can I have single piece pricing but force purchase of 100 pk
My client sells some items in packs of 100 but he wants the pricing to be per-item because that's the way his industry prices things. Right now I can see how to set the minimum quantity to 100 but haven't seen a way to force the quantity to be in increments of 100. Is there a way to do this built in...

Re: Available Discounts
The image is gone so I have to make assumptions about what he's asking for. This is something I implemented myself but it makes updates and customization somewhat harder. I'd love to have it built in. My current custom implementation builds a table that looks like this: 1+ 100+ 500+ 1000+ 2500+ $2.7...

Re: How can I add BuyProductDialog to CategoryListPage?
Thank you! That solved the biggest hurdles. The Page_Init method pulls the product ID out of the query string but since it's on a category page the query string only has the category id in it. I'll have to put the product id in the viewstate or something. Turning off validation really just postponed...

How can I add BuyProductDialog to CategoryListPage?
Here's what I'm trying to accomplish. I want to have a page that lists products in a category, each product with its own row. Each row should have the ability to let the customer select options for that product and add it to their cart. I modified the CategoryListPage and added the BuyProductDialog ...

Minor bug: misspelling in BuyProductsDialog
Do a search and you'll find a few instances of QuantityValidaor where it should be QuantityValidator. Not a big deal since it still works. It happens in both the ascx and the ascx.cs file. I discovered this while (so far unsuccessfully) trying to make the BuyProductsDialog (or a custom version of it...

I sent you my IP address. Let me know if you don't get it. I'm not too familiar with phpBB's PM system. Right now my reply is sitting in the Outbox rather than the Sent Items folder so I don't know if it actually sent it or not.

How can I let a customer drill down through subcategories?
I have a main category called printer supplies. Under that category I have different printers listed. Under each printer I have the supplies for that printer.
