Did it AGAIN - forgot to change the Admin Timezone
I thought per Katie's last suggestion of just setting UTC - 5 would fix this, nope, after the recent DST change I was off for an hour. Just today, April 2 I realized this! AC you are not helping us by requiring us to change time zones in 2016!!! Please fix this in the next update to GOLD and stop th...

Re: Bug in coupons that may apply to Gold?
I guess I'll grab a demo store and try to repro - yeah, I'd love to. I'm still waiting on approval for 36 hour days with no DST

Re: Bug in coupons that may apply to Gold?
I added the kit product as the exclusion, not the components, and the coupon was applied to the kit which it should not have been.

Bug in coupons that may apply to Gold?
I'll report this here but I haven't tested a GOLD demo store yet to see if it applies, you may want to test. I have category on my site called 20% off bundles. They are kit products that have products attached and I use the pricing delta such as in Kit Price: "Modify Product Price" and then I set Pr...

Re: Plans to make Gold compatible with AzureSQL?
It may be worthwhile to you Mike to work with Microsoft to have your shopping cart as an option for anyone to spin up and you can get revenue from the use of AbleCommerce as a platform. It would be cool to see AC Gold as an Azure Web App and be a huge hit for you! https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/s...

Re: Error Issuing Refund
Refund and Credit are the same. I should have said:
First try void then fallback to Refund/Credit. Some APIs use the term credit. Moral is try to cancel prior to batch, put money back if after batch.

Re: Error Issuing Refund
I've mentioned this in the past, not sure how the Auth.net payment plug-in is coded but it should always try a REFUND first and if that fails immediately fallback to a CREDIT transaction type. The merchant/user should never have to deal with this and batch times, etc.

Re: Browser Caching
I would avoid this, IMHO you'll cause more harm than good. The easiest and most effective way is to cache your images and theme folders in IIS. https://mohamedradwan.wordpress.com/201 ... -in-iis-7/

Re: What happens when you reboot your EMAIL server?
I was thinking of that and along that line have you considered (or add a suggestion) to completely abstract the mail handler itself? Implement an interface INotification or IMailHandler for example and let us plug in (or develop an add-on) for more powerful email handling?

Re: What happens when you reboot your EMAIL server?
Ideally though, AC should also add support for a pickup location or a queue and until that message successfully sends it should be able to go into a retry.

Re: What happens when you reboot your EMAIL server?
DNS is an invalid fix, AC needs to connect to a mail server to send email. If AC cannot "connect" such as login to send the email it will fail and show an error in AC. We are tied to a specific domain/IP for SMTP (sending) emails. It's different than an outside user sending emails to the domain and ...

What happens when you reboot your EMAIL server?
I put this in UserVoice some time ago but please understand this scenario. You have an ecommerce web site with a high rate of orders. You have to reboot your email server or something went down. How does AbleCommerce handle this? It doesn't. It should How? Queue the emails and don't remove from the ...

Re: Credit Cards geting charged every 4 hours
Something came to mind - why is your subscription product shippable? I suggest reviewing your main subscription product configuration. Secondly, are you sure the payments are completing and not failing or just authorizing?

Re: Credit Cards geting charged every 4 hours
I don't use AC subscriptions, I wrote my own, but I believe they rely on Authorize.net??? If so, I suggest reviewing that end as well.

Re: Credit Cards geting charged every 4 hours
I suggest providing a whole lot more information for anyone to promptly assist you here. What version of AC are you using? What is your exact subscription product configuration? Any customizations related? Have you tried placing a test order of the product and are you getting the same result? The mo...

Change your Clocks - in AC Admin...
AC - your RSS feed in AC 7 is not working - you may want to send out a message to update the admin time zone since it's not automatic and it affects coupons, etc.

Re: Customer Accounts Disabled?
Nadeem, I don't think the issue in the recent posts are admins getting disabled but normal users because they are getting evaluated against merchant admin's policy instead of customer policy. But they shouldn't be getting disabled regardless, just prompted to change password if the policy is expirin...

What is the password age of most accounts you're seeing disabled? In my 707 issue they were typically 1000+ days.

Re: Make UPS and FedEx rating service requests to use TLS 1.2?
Again - not an expert here but just stating my theory. If UPS right now is accepting TLS 1.0 and you can handshake with it then it will connect. When UPS restricts to TLS 1.2 then you will handshake with that and connect as such. Just like SSL, I bet most here don't even realize there is SSL 1, 2, a...

Re: Make UPS and FedEx rating service requests to use TLS 1.2?
Neal, I'm trying to make sure requests sent to UPS work with TLS 1.2, so at the end of May I don't suddenly have a problem that I can't fix. Disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on the server was the only way I could think of to force it to use TLS 1.2 when contacting UPS. I don't believe that is correct. Tur...

Re: Make UPS and FedEx rating service requests to use TLS 1.2?
Sorry Jay, I didn't read the full post this time, just reviewing latest activity. With all due respect "don't do that" :) Let the server do its thing, if you want to make the changes per Microsoft for the POODLE issue that's good but let the server do its job but what you do with your server is enti...
