Re: MailChimp
I don't think that will be a problem. When I do upgrade, I know how to merge the old and new pages.

Re: MailChimp
I am wondering if I should go through the trouble of upgrading to R12 first. Would there be a problem doing it later, after the email integrtion?

Re: MailChimp
Thanks for your quick response, Joe! I need to do CC because I am hiring a marketing company and they use CC. CC doesn't seem to have all the functionality as MailChimp, so initially, I would like the current Email signup at check out to utilize CC instead of the simple internal list. It would then ...

Re: MailChimp
I need to have Constant Contact integrated. Does anybody know how to do it? Does somebody want to do it and how much would it cost. I am sick and tired of waiting for AC to get up to speed with the things that have been kicked around for years. I am serious about my business. It's more than just a h...

Ability to ship products using different shipping methods
It sure would be nice if I could choose shipping methods on a product basis rater than warehouse. I have items from the same vendor and warehouse where some of them can go UPS and others need to go freight only

UPS Label Printing
The ability to ship orders directly from AC Admin NEEDS to have the ability to verify and edit weight, dimensions address etc. When UPS Label printing was added to AC, I was enthusiastic and upgraded my install. When I went to use it, I was disappointed. The way it is now is all but useless. You cli...

Moving .css and .java to external files
My SEO guy says I should move as much java and css to external files as possible. In particular, these pieces of code: // var theForm = document.forms['aspnetForm']; if (!theForm) { theForm = document.aspnetForm; } function __doPostBack(eventTarget, eventArgu...

Re: Putting Category Back into the URL
Well, I am just getting back to this. I tried it again with a different product and it seems to work, as long as I refresh the category page before I click the link. The problem now is, the old url doesn't work, so any links to it don't work. I guess that would have to be done with a redirect. Also,...

Re: Putting Category Back into the URL
When I add a folder to the url, it breaks the page, the page doesn't load and I get a 404 error. For example, if I take a product with a url product.aspx and make it category/product.aspx, the page won't work anymore. It throws the error: 404 - File or directory not found.

Putting Category Back into the URL
Is there a way to put the category back in to the URL? I know a product can be in multiple categories, but the canonical link should take care of duplicate issues, shouldn't it? My SEO guy is asking so he can tune up my SEO. Also, there are various things you can do that require the category to be i...

Re: More Conversion Tracking
Thanks nadeem.
Are you saying there needs to be different code for each page type? If so, then you can't just put that in the footer because it will be on all pages. For example, the code for a product page will be on category pages, the home page and all the rest.

Designating Product Types
Is there a way to designate product pages as part of a category or some other type? There are various things you can do depending on the product type that is viewed. For example, you can serve appropriate ads to people that have viewed a type of product on your website. You can have a pop-up or widg...

Re: More Conversion Tracking
OK, Nadeem, I think I have it working now. My site doesn't crash and I can see the subtotal value on a receipts.aspx page. I made the arbitrary value 0, instead of $20. I will now wait for an actual conversion from an AdRoll ad to see it work. Thank you very much your help is greatly appreciated. Do...

Re: More Conversion Tracking
OK. I will try it later this evening.
Won't using an arbitrary number for TotalValue skew the analytics? For example, will it record the $20 for all the other pages that are viewed?

Re: More Conversion Tracking
Yes, I know. My question now is, since I had to break the AdRoll code up, will it still function properly. (please read above) When I put the conversion portion in the StoreFooter.ascx, it broke the website. I had to put it in the ConversionTracking.ascx The rest of the AdRoll code, I kept in the St...

Re: More Conversion Tracking
The adroll code is not just for conversion vale. AdRoll is a Remarketing platform. It needs to be put on all pages to track which pages the user views. Among other things, it can be used to dynamically serve ads relevant to the user, like products they already viewed. https://help.adroll.com/hc/en-u...

Re: More Conversion Tracking
Thank a lot. That seems to work, except that I already have that code in the /ConLib/StoreFooter.ascx because it needs to be on every page. Previously, I was trying to put <%= TotalValue%>; there, in the footer. That's when the site broke. Putting it in the ConversionTracking.ascx works, but now I h...

Re: Technical Questions From SEO
Be careful with that Rel =Next and the canonical link. They conflict with each other, according to Google. Use one or the other, not both. I just went through the trouble of figuring out how to implement it and got it working and as soon as I got it done, I learned that Google says not to do both. h...
