We did a migration from a heavily customized Able 5 store to Able 7. Someone else did the design work, but we did the functional coding. Features include:
W2M SEO manager (View the source on a page and see the title and meta stuff at top of page, javascript and css below that.
Promo content at bottom of left nav depending on what category you are in.
Some of the categories in the left nav, like Automotive GPS show subcategories for manufacturer with a count of products. All the products are in the main category, not a manufacturer subcategory under the main one.
Integration of Nextopia search- Nextopia uses the googlebase feed to pull the data. (That feed was customized to generate custom product types and the UPC code from a template field).
Product compare page for all products in a category: http://www.thegpsstore.com/automotive-g ... rison.aspx
Category page customizations:
Sort by uses links instead of dropdown and saves the customers last sort choice in a cookie so that following categories will sort that way.
Filter to show "top choice" only products (Able featured products)
Custom price/message display for products- MAP Price, your Price, sale price, stock status
Product comparison code on a few of the categories that draws info from template fields (Automotive and Handheld GPS)
Product page customizations:
Print this page popup, email this page in hover panel
Product accessories at bottom of product page and bottom of basket page.
Related products to the right of image below the section to add page product to cart

Fantasic job.
How did you get that Title tag to the top?
I'm looking for a top menu you like that. Is it SEO safe?

Title tag- a secret of the W2M SEO manager. :D
Top menu- that was from their old site and the designer had done it. It's hard coded via javascript, but I moved the javascript to the bottom of the page for SEO purposes and it still works fine.

What file did you put the JavaScript in?

I'm looking to add this menu : http://htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/ ... s/example/
and it has 12 lives of javascript that I'm not sure where to put.
