I want to know what suggestions you may have to make this site better.

Very nice looking site. The Categories panel is a bit confusing though. you may want to play with the spacing between categories or group the categories into other parent categories to make the list a bit shorter and more managable. Good work though.

I agree, good looking site. I'll look you up next time I need cables.

Thank you both. I agree with gjaros, this was one of the first things I wanted to change as well. Now I just need to do it. If you go on the site and go below the product specials on the right, you will fine a link with no picture. (right underneath the right colum) How do I find that in the background so that I can get rid of it?

It looks like it is code for a BizRate logo. It's either on your index.aspx page, in includes/rightnav.apsx, or somewhere else. The code for that image is:
Code: Select all
<br>
<div align="center">
<!-- BEGIN: BizRate.com Medal (125x73 pixels) -->
<a href="http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/cust_reviews__mid--105115.html" target="bizrate.com">
<img src="http://medals.bizrate.com/medals/dynamic/105115_medal.gif" alt="BizRate Customer Certified (GOLD) Site" width="125" height="73" align="top" border="0" target="_blank">
</a>
<!-- END: BizRate.com Medal (125x73 pixels) -->
</div>
So do a search for that on the page you've edited.

Thank you,
Yeah, it would be easy if I could find it, but it isn't anywhere in the includes files or index. If anyone knows where else it might be, it would be a big help. *goes back to searching*

This would be something that you added. It's not standard AbleCommerce code. Look in any files that you may have edited. Maybe the index.cfm wizard? Or maybe the theme?

Unfortunately someone else had put it in, and now they aren't here. It's hard to figure it out, because it should be pretty obvious to find it. lol

I'm an idiot, I don't even see the link you are talking about in the right nav. If it isn't in the rightnav.aspx or the index.aspx, look in the wizard for the theme where you can enter your special links.

Judy,
It's a blank image below the specials box on the home page. If you do a Select All you'll see it.

Hello All,
The site has recently been updated, and I would like any opinions on the layout, and ease of use. I was going to create a new thread, but realized that this was still near the top. Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

I don't remember what it looked like before, sorry. The different color for the visited links on the left nav was a little disorientating. I kept thinking it was a different color for the current page until I saw more than one in gray.
I see you changed the center of the page tabs from the green that they were, which is good. I still have trouble figuring out the hierarchy from them, except for the current link.
