Is it possible to setup 'billing plans' for physical products?
e.g. create a payment plan for a product of retail value of $150 --> $50 initial payment, 4x $25 remaining... etc.
We are using Authorized.net.. ( if it makes a difference.. )
Thanks!

Yes, Authorize.Net is one of the processors that supports recurring billing.
You would find this by editing your product in the merchant admin. THen click "Subscriptions" from the left menu. Add a subscription plan to your product.
The price you set on the edit product page is the initial charge. In your example this should have been $50. Then set billing option to initial payment of $50 with recurring charge. Payment frequency every 1 month (I assume). Recurring charge $25. Total payments 4. That should give you the product you describe.
When Authorize.Net is configured, it will send all of this information to them and they set up the appropriate recurring charges. Unfortunately, we cannot get any further information from them about the recurring payments. So if there are maintenance tasks (cancellations, rebill) they are managed from the Authorize.Net interface.

I apologize that I didn't state my requirements clearly in the first place.
Ideally, I would like to offer the options for customers to either pay for the product in one payment ($150) or make a pre-defined initial payment ($50) with the balance due in a couple of smaller payments.
And I would also like to show $150 as the price of the product to the customer.
Thanks!
