User Group Discounts on new orders?

Sorry for not posting this in the bug section but can't seem to log in. In beta 2 user group discount with volume discounts was solved when you start an order from the user section.

But I noticed that when you start an order from the orders section "create new order" the volume discount works but after you place the order and find a current user to assign the user group discount is not applied?

Is this something that can be fixed? or will the person taking the order always have to go through the users section to create the order? Also doesn't that defeats the point of having some employees only able to manage orders and some able to manage users?

I just tested this and it worked for me. Please give me the steps your using so I can attempt to replicate this.

Ok. Under Manage go to orders. Click new order you are taken where you find a product. Find product add and save. Product is shown in cart you have the option to add more items or to clear order, recalulate order & place order. Click Place order this brings you to the page where you can find a user or add a new user. Find a user that has a discount such as a wholsale customer. When customer is found the cart does not update the price for the given user that is part of a user group that gets a discount. Also on the same page is where you put in credit card info so there is no chance for the page to refresh the cart.

Am I missing something? Or is this function not adding the discount that should be added when the whosale user is selected?

Hello,

That is what I'm doing and it works just fine. Double check that the user is a member of the group with the discount attached. Confirm that the discount is indeed applied to the product that's being ordered.

Let me know what you find.

The user is part of a group with a discount. When I recreate the order from the user section ie I get the user first then the product it works fine but when I start with getting the product firts it does not?

I'll boot up my beta 2 install and test it there, maybe it's something that was fixed post beta 2 on the dev server I'm testing on.
