Unpaid orders being stored

Post by AbleMods » Thu Nov 29, 2007 2:33 pm

I have had a couple of orders now that are getting stored into my Orders Summary list but marked as "Unpaid"

I don't want the order if it's paid for - how are orders getting "completed" if payment has not been fullfilled?

Do I have a setting wrong or something?

Did you get this answered? These are candidates for the PayPal problem I described. Or they are because of the new logic that we accept orders even if payment fails. That allows you to follow up with the customer and retain the order.

(e.g. suppose the payment failed because the bank had a glitch - the customer would probably just move on to another store before you dealt with the abandoned basket)
Cheers,

Logan, thank you for the follow-up.

I believe it was covered in a separate post that Mike explained and made a subsequent sticky. I was not aware that the design allows for an order to be stored without a completed payment of some kind.

I can see the logic in the idea. I'll continue and see if the situation becomes more of a problem for me.
