Search Engine scans

Hello ... can anyone with a live site tell me whether their site is being scanned by Google and any other search engines. I'm only wondering because this tool that one of our seo people has been using has issues with aspx/.net sites and so it looks like it doesn't scan.

I'm not too concerned but if someone knows for sure that Google is able to spider through the site and index the links, that would help.

Sounds like they need a new tool or you need a new consultant. None of the search engines care about extensions.

Here's the 12K plus pages in Joe's site indexed in google.

Yeah, the tool is written in Java and seems a little strange to me when I tested the trial. Oh well.

Pages and pages for Joe's site, so that should present no problem for me then

Make sure you generate the sitemap and register it with Google- they will get your pages indexed pretty quickly.

My domain has been active since 1994, so being listed in a search engine has never been a problem.

Sitemap is the ultimate though in getting all your products listed in google searches and the (beta) google products search engine. Fastest way there is, hands down. It's part of the Google Webmaster tools, just search for that in google.com.

To be honest, I am fascinated with the incredible job AC7 does with SEO. There are certain product names I can just type into Google.com and my site is first or in the top 5. Sometimes I beat the manufacturer themselves

It's really quite remarkable. I update my sitemap file in AC7 about once per week.
