Now that the final release version of 7 is out, when will the source be released? If I have purchased 7, will the code be available free or will there be an additional charge and how much?

I imagine the source code will be made available in the short term. We did not want to release it prior to declaring "final".
Source code is available for an additional fee with the purchase of the application. Pricing and licensing are outside of my area of expertise, so you'd probably want to talk to sales about these questions.
