How to configure SMTP Server

Hii..
I am using ablecommerce7 licence version..
The problem with this is , i have forgotton my Admin password.. and when i am using
forget password option then the mail should be receive on my given email accout but this is not working ..so that i am unable to access my admin account..so please give me detail process how i configure SMTP... so that my mailing will work properly..
