Fedex Shipping

I wanted to setup my Fedex account in to able, So i contacted Fedex for a meter number.

He told me that the API used in Able was old and out of date, He told me now FedEx uses "FedEx Web Services"

He was not sure how i would get a meter number.

But he suggested i find a way to use the FedEx Web Services.

Has anyone looked in to updating to Web Services?

I would like this too.. Fedex works with Able..but the numbers are frequently off.. and it doesn't offer certain services with Residential customers.. ex. When sending from Canada, Fedex ground is not available for residential US customers.

The charges are differnet too from the ship manager they provide.

I am thinking we will need to integrate some new code, I guess the API being used it out dated.

To ship FedEx to residential US addresses, you need to set-up FedEx Home Delivery. That's the equivalent of FedEx Ground. FedEx Ground is only for business addresses in the US.
