Master choices for product templates

Hi,

I am having 10 product templates for kitchen electrics,study boards,Remote covers etc
They have a common field which is colors(red,blue,brown,green etc) to be added to their product templates

So when I create a product template for kitchen electrics I add colors field with red,blue,brown,green etc in multiplelistbox control.
like wise for study boards product template I created field called colors and multiplelistbox control with all colors options, This goes on.

Is there anyway to have a master colors options in one place and pull(add) that master colors option to the product template field Colors,so that I just have to include colors field,and can select default colors available etc when I create a new Product Template.

Please let me know if it's possible to configure this way in Admin or if it needs extensive customization?

I not only have colors as master choice,but other options which are pretty common to all product templates. And it's pain or can be forgetfull when configuring a new product template with all the choices.

Hi Carol,
I find it easiest to just copy a template. It's quicker to delete the options you don't need then to add the ones you do.
