Where is the icon sized image used?

Where is the icon sized image used?

Uploading images creates 3 images. Large, thumbnail, icon... where is the icon sized image used?

I'm going into the "blizzard of image uploads" phase. I'd just as soon get the sizes right up front.

The icon is used in the MiniBasket.
