Is the latest version supposed to show Cxx in product URL?

I have one site running stock 7.0.3 and I just noticed something.

If I have a category which shows subcategories which must be clicked on in order to get to the products the product URL just has Pxx.aspx at the end but if I have a category name which goes straight through to some products once clicked on it includes the Cxx.aspx at the end of the URL.

I had thought from 7.0 on the Cxx was only used in the category URL...?

Just as soon as I submitted the sitemap to Google I realized there were C's in some of the URLs.
I don't know where to place your code and I can't find it on my other which I use as a go-by. Where is it hidden at?

What is the display page? Also, can you send a link where it's happening?

On pages where I use CategoryGrid4.aspx there are Cs in the URLs. I see that the other pages that don't have Cs in the URLs are using Category.aspx.

I think CategoryGrid4.aspx was the only page that would show text at the top of the page before it started showing product thumbnails and that's why I used it.

Is this supposed to be normal behavior?

I guess it would be called "normal" since it isn't a bug, even though it isn't consistent. The code on that page requires filtering the category nodes and using other code if the node is a product. I'm still searching for a place where I have probably changed it to see if there is an easy way to explain what to do. I'm not sure if it would be easy to patch unless it is to replace an entire section.
