simple email question

are there any templates for email that I can copy and modify?

You will find Email templates under Administration > Configure > Email > Templates

Ah,

I don't have that in my build, nor are they included in the copy of ac_7_0_3_stable_b12458.exe.

Is there somewhere else I can get them, or should I have done somthing else in the install?

Go to install/Email directory of extracted AbleCommerce package they will be there.
