All,
I searched on this, but couldn't seem to find an answer. I'd like to create a coupon that will allow our customers to receive a free item if they add a kit option to their order.
e.g.
1) Buy a shirt with one logo, get a second logo free
So the shirt would the the parent product and the logo would be a kit item. I setup a product coupon code for my logo product (only ever exists as part of a kit). I set the amount for zero dollars so that the item has no cost associated with it, but the end user will see a message like "Free Logo!". However, when I go to apply this coupon to a valid cart that contains one shirt with a kit with a logo I receive the following error: "The coupon code you've entered does not apply to any of the products in your basket."
Does anyone have an idea? Can coupons be applied for kit items?
Thanks,
MIke
