Google Checkout question

I am looking to add Google Checkout for my store. I have added it as a gateway and can view it under Admin/Payment/Gateways.aspx along with PayPal and authorize.net. However, it does not show under Admin/Payment/Methods.aspx, whereas Paypal and authorize.net do. Google is not listed under the drop down list "Type" for Add Payment Method. Is this normal? The Google Checkout button will show on product pages, but on the default checkout page it is not listed as an option (only Paypal and Authorize.net show (Credit/Debit Card). How can I get it to show on the default checkout page?

Google Checkout is an all in one payment processing service. Your customers can either choose Google Checkout or go through the regular checkout method.

Are you saying that if you choose to have Google Checkout as a gateway for your store (along with authorize.net and PayPal), Google is normally not listed as an option (like PayPal and authorize.net) on the default checkout page? Just Google Checkout buttons show on product display pages? Is Google not normally listed as an optional Payment Method under the Admin Payment Methods page? I thought maybe something got deleted inadvertently.

Google Checkout is not a payment method its a complete alternative checkout system. That's why you are seeing it on basket and in mini basket. This is not a payment method like PayPal etc that's why this is not available in payment methods list.

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I saw it listed as a Method rather than a Gateway at some point, but I wasn't sure.
