User Groups/Classes

When setting up coupons and discounts, you can specify groups for which they will work. These are all the admin groups. Is there any concept of a user class? It would be nice to target coupons at groups of users beyond just the admins.

You can create a new group from admin side and do not put any admin permission with it. This newly added group will be available with coupons etc and you can create coupons only available to that group.

OK, that makes sense thank you. How about linking coupons to product categories/sub-categories?

You can create product coupon available only for selected products. For this when creating a new product coupon Product Rule as valid only for selected products and on next screen assign valid products to the coupon.

Yes, I've seen that. It would be a nice addition to allow you to assign a coupon to a group of products, and I would think that the categories would be an ideal vehicle for allowing you to do so. Something to think about for the future I guess.
