Dashboard and Admin buttons not showing up for Admin Group

Hi,

We upgraded from 7.0.2 to 7.0.4. The upgrade went smoothly and the store is running well. However users with 'admin' permissions no longer see the 'admin' button or the 'dashboard' button when logged in. Only the super user can see these buttons.

Any suggestions for changing or correcting this?

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my local install of 7.0.4. In order to test the case I created a user and assigned it the admins group. Finally I made new user sign-in and Admin link was available for newly logged on user. It could be because of some customization in your store header scriptlet. Make sure that NVelocity code in scriptlet is making use of $customer.IsAdmin property to show/hide admin link.

I've been having the same issue for the past 2 months. It only happens on IE8 and at least one time I was able to clear my cache and get it to stop happening. The issue popped back up about 2-3 days later. I've not been able to fix it since.

The odd thing about it is that if you go to the account page, the links for the Admin access show up there, but not on other pages.

Also, my header is based on a default... only change was a change to the logo.

Thanks guy. I have not had time to look, I do not recall making any customization to the header. I will definately look into it.

Just a thought - did you try refreshing your page to see if the buttons will appear?
