SQL Express 2008

We are looking to have the Database on the Dev server with three users connecting to it remotely using Client Tools. There is some Customization require for the sites.

Can we do this using SQL Express 2008?

I guess it will be OK, I have heard in forums people using AbleCommerce with SQL 2008. One thing when installing SQLExpress 2008 try to get and install its advanced version. That comes with Full text search indexing so you will be able to test FTS related things on your dev machines.

We have SQL Server 2008 installed on all clients servers running AbleCommerce 5.5 and 7.x and have not seen any issues with 2008 even with sites running AC 5.5 via ODBC connections.
I also have a client project site on my development machine based on AbleCommerce 7.0.4 and running with the latest SQL Server 2008 R2 with no problems.
