Linking Categories in the Catalog

Post by akkent33 » Fri Jul 02, 2010 12:57 pm

I'm having trouble linking sub-categories to other categories. I create a link, but when in the store, there is no visible sub-category link listed under the category I supposedly linked to. Any help would be appreciated.

When you create a link in the store catalog, it's just a normal URL. AC7 doesn't know what you're "link"ing, it just knows you're wanting a URL to appear like other products do when you're browsing the store. That URL doesn't even have to be on your AC7 storefront, it can be anywhere.

Yes Joe is right. Link is just a pointer to any resource internal or external. If you want some link to appear in your category listing simply copy the fully qualified URL of that category and then create a link in desired category pointing to that URL.
