We just upgraded to AbleCommerce for ASP.NET VERSION: 7.0.5.14053 from VERSION: 7.0.4.13424. Up to this point We had been running Ablecommerce on .NET35 with no trouble.
After a successful upgrade, we noticed when we went to the Admin login, we were unable to login and a few errors were occurring on page load (viewable in ie8) - "'Sys.Application' is null or not an object" error and a couple of "'Sys.UI.DomEvent' is null or not an object" errors. Regardless of the browser, the login information was not able to be submitted. We were able to login via the main store login and navigate to the Admin area after logging in there. (extra note: we ensured we had the three new versions of the NET35 files from the install folder in place)
We have not modified any of the Admin pages related to the login page (master page, referenced files, etc) - they are all default pages.
After troubleshooting, it appears the errors for us were the result of the ComponentArt.Web.UI.dll (.net35 version - 2008.2.1267.35) in the new 7.0.5 upgrade. When we replace that .dll file with the previous version (2008.2.1204.35), everything works with no error or issues.
My question is this, since those files are different, are we going to create other issues related to "downgrading" that particular file? If so, is there something we are missing that can edit (i.e. web.config file) that would solve the errors that resulted from using ComponentArt.Web.UI: 2008.2.1267.35?
