It appears that using wildcards in the postal codes field on the Edit Ship Zone page produces an unexpected result. For example, if I specify Zone 1 with 711* I would expect it to match on 71105, and it does. However, if I specify Zone 2 with 11* it also matches on 71105 and that is not what I would expect. I assumed the pattern would match on "starts with" and not "contains". Can anyone clarify if this is the expected behavior or if this is a bug?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: Shipping Zone Postal Code Wildcards
I just got done loading in zones pushed out to 4 digits instead of 3 (for example, 7111* instead of 711*) and it still appears that another zone with 1111* is matching against 71111. This is causing incorrect shipping methods to diplay to the customer. Can someone please verify if this is a known bug and if there is a workaround? I'm really surprised no one has noticed this before because it seems like it would be a huge deal.

Re: Shipping Zone Postal Code Wildcards
To clarify, the test zip is 71111. Zone 1 contains 7111* among others and Zone 2 contains 1111* among others. Both Zone 1 and 2 will match. If I remove 1111* from Zone 2 then it no longer matches.

Re: Shipping Zone Postal Code Wildcards
Pushing out to 5 full digits is the only way I've been able to get this to work. It seems that the wildcard does not work as intended. Hopefully this saves someone else some frustration.
