Online Examination System

We are trying to create/integrate an online examination system into AbleCommerce for one of our client. For example a product would be an online course a customer could buy. Once purchased they are able to download PDF to study and login to complete a test/exam through the store and receive a generated certificate.

Just wondering if anyone has any examples or suggestions for creating something like this?

We have done all but the online test, but the company never finished their backend part, so the site wasn't live.
You can use digital downloads for the pdf. Then we put a conlib on a customer's my account page that had a link to the course scoring data and a button to print the certificate.

Thank you for the information. The online test part is the one that seems will be the most complicated. I assume we will have to create some custom tables for the testing system to store answers, and test instances per user, etc. If anyone else have any suggestions or recommendations on resources or examples please feel free to share. Any advice is much appreciated.
