Fixing orphaned category

Post by WylieE » Thu Oct 21, 2010 4:33 pm

We have a couple top level product categories that have somehow become orphaned. Additionally, there are about 20 products that belong in those categories that have also become orphaned.

Is there any way to repair the categories so I can reassign the orphaned parts to those categories?

Follow-up to my own question.

I found the orphaned categories did not have entries in ac_CategoryParents. I created entries matching a similar category and checked to see if this resolved the orphan issue. It did not.

What tables are used to generate the category structure? I've been looking at ac_Categories and ac_CategoryParents. Are there more? Does ac_CatalogNodes come in to play here?

Thanks,
Eric.
