We are having a heck of a time trying to figure out the best way to set-up some of our products.
Everything has been running smoothly as we have not had inventory tracking turned on. However, we are setting up our new StoneEdge software and need to start tracking inventory on everything as that is how we will be placing all our orders with our suppliers going forward.
That said, several of our products are sold in pre-set quantities, i.e. available in a drop-down selection of 24pcs, 72pcs, or 144pcs. However, there is currently no way to track inventory in this instance (they are all created from one huge lot of product). There is one case of product that has "x" amount of pcs that all the units of 24, 72, and 144 are created from. We really need a way to associate a quantity with each variant that when one is purchased, that quantity is deducted from the total inventory.
Has anybody ever dealt with a similar situation or know of a way to solve this?
