Order Notification Proble

We just upgraded from 7.0.0 to 7.0.6. We have an internal app that takes orders manually for customers calling in. Because many of these customers do not have an email address we used an alias email address for example 12345678921 - each new customer received a new customer. When orders was taken the Order Notification was sent when customers didn't have an email. This has stopped working. Our internal app works if we have a proper email address for the customer but it doesn't if we use this alias email. Any hints?

Consider using an email address alias that validates as email address. 1234567@yoursite.com
