Linkpoint Problems

We recently moved our Able Commerce store from a Windows Server 2003 / SQL 2005 to Windows Server 2008 / SQL 2008 and had relative success in getting everything working again, with the exception of our credit card processing. We use Linkpoint. We copied over all files exactly from the old server and changed permissions as much as possible but are getting an error when the transaction tries to charge. The error is:

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {E973A9DF-8CC6-4A66-802B-39703FD0620B} failed due to the following error: 800703e6.

We followed the instructions posted on this page:

but have been unsuccessful in getting it to work.

We could really use some assistance and are even willing to hire someone to get this fixed for us. This is an urgent need since we are unable to charge credit cards through our Able Commerce store at the moment.

Able put out a new Linkpoint provider in November for 7.0.1 and higher.

A new LinkPoint Web Service API is available to work with 64-bit operating systems and Windows 2008 server. In this version, we have eliminated the 32 bit com dependency.

Supports: Authorize, Authorize/Capture, Capture, and Refund

If you are currently using the older LinkPoint integration with electronic checks or recurring billing, do not replace your gateway with this newer one, as these features are unsupported.

Full trust is no longer necessary. The requirement is Medium trust + Web Permission. By default, medium trust does not allow outbound web requests. Web permission either needs to be turned on specifically for the website or more simply turned on for all websites.

Port 1129 is no longer required. This is a web service integration and communicates over SSL on port 443.
