Can not Complete Order when not Logged In

Can not Complete Order when not Logged In

I have been testing out our shopping cart because we have been getting complaints that our customers are not being redirected to the confirmation/receipt page. It seems that, when I am not logged in and I use a new email, I can not complete the order.

On our test site, I enter in all the "fake" information (including the credit card 4111...) and then click "complete order," but nothing happens. There is no redirection to the receipt page or an apparent order being made.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're getting an AJAX error. Browsers often don't show these sort of errors, so a page-breaking problem is difficult to identify. Sometimes I have to modify the page HTML and remove the <updatepanel> and <contenttemplate> tags at the top and bottom just to see what error is -really- getting thrown.

If it's a new site install, you might be dealing with a simple permissions issue. Take a look at perms on the Checkout folder and the members folder. Make sure they're correct.
