How to check email processing?

Post by danny » Mon Mar 01, 2010 2:45 pm

I did setup EMAIL Server and test config(test email is ok).
I did setup "Select Emails" in Order Status.

I ordered a item with payment. But, I didn't receive email from store.

How to check email processing?

Thank you.

Go to Administration -> Configure -> Email Templates and make sure the order confirmation Email template is hooked with Order Placed trigger.

What is the difference between specifying an email trigger in the Manage Order Statuses screen (below)

and the Email Templates screen (below)?

Well there are three things which you asked above Triggers, Order Statuses and Email Templates. Lets consider the triggers as different events that occur in system while order statuses and Email templates you can say are different responses we can configure against those events.

For example in first screen you are seeing ordre statuses which represent different states or an order. At that screen we are simply configuring that system will automatically change order stauts if this specified event occurs. BTW you can create your custom order status and can make your order automatically change to it by hooking it against apperoperiate trigger.

In second screen you are simply configuring Emails against different trigger events. For example Order Notification will be sent when even an order placed event will be triggered by system.
