Need to incorporate AC controls in existing site

Post by rpb3 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 3:59 pm

I looked for a similar topic already posted but couldn't find one. If it is out there please let me know and I'll check it out.

I have a pre existing site that I need to fit with the AC ecommerce engine. Its a .NET 3.5 site with a master page and user control already built for the left nav. What I want to do is create a category, sub-category and product page using my master page and left nav but use the built-in or most likely custom build user controls to display the category grid and product info, check-out etc. in the content section.

Is there a tutorial, documentation, example or something out there that anyone can point me at to help me get started?

Do I need to start all over and modify one of the templates to look the existing site?

The client likes the look of her site but her old support co. went out of business and would not give up the backend code for her site.

Any help is appreciated.

I would recommend modifying Able to look like her old site. That will be a lot easier and foolproof than trying to add Able to something else because of the complex coding in Able.

I second the Judy's idea.
