Is there no automated list we can join to be automatically notified of version upgrade releases and service releases? The only option I currently see is to periodically visit the Support Resources manually.

Unfortunately, this is going to result in security releases being missed for our stores.

Yes, we send out upgrade notices to both subscription holders and non-sub holders. Typically, any upgrade is joined by a service release on the same day. Also, make sure to check the news feed built-in to the merchant dashboard. If there is anything critical, it will be updated here as well as the forums and help site.
