Do I need a new license key?

Yes. The license code is keyed to the domain you purchased it for. Contact AbleCommerce Sales to discuss your need.

Does my ssl cert need to be updated?

Yes. Your SSL certificate was keyed to the domain name you purchased it for. You'll probably have to buy a new one.

What order shoud I make the changes?

First move all your files to the new location.
Make sure the new domain name host record points to the new IP.
Make sure you have the ~/Install folder from your installation files copied to the root of your store.
Make sure the SSL cert has been installed on the new IIS site.

Browse to http://www.newsitename.com/install/UpdateKey.aspx

The site should load and let you load up your new keycode.

Finally, you should go through all the store settings pages and make the necessary name and URL changes.

Did the key update and you got that error going to the admin page, or did that error come up when you tried to hit the UpdateKey.aspx page?
