Hello All,

We're having trouble getting our Gift Certificates working.

Currently, when we activate a GiftCertificate, the "Activation" email is not getting sent out.

Is there a way to "force" the email to be sent?

Can we "raise" the event from code?

Make sure that your Gift Certificate Email template is associated with Gift Certificate Validated trigger.

Yes, that trigger is set.

The fustrating thing is that we (somehow) managed to get ONE GC email to go out. But that was in the middle of testing and we have not been able to get any others to go out.

Are you aware of any "conditions" that the event engine uses to determine whether to send the email or to NOT send it?

Is there any way to manually set the trigger condition?

Unfortunately, the Gift Certificates were (are?) to be one of the big "added features" of the site upgrade and one of the reasons we switched to AbleCommerce. And now it's not even working. AAAAARRRGGH.

Make sure that your order payment is processed. Once order is payed it will automatically activate the GC and sent alert to customer or go to order summary page and then click box icon available in front of giftcertificate and from there manually activate gift certificate.

We've been manually activating the Gift Certificates.

All the orders are marked as "Authorized" in the status. What causes an order to be "Processed" ? Or is that the same thing?
