PayPal API certificate

Post by kastnerd » Wed Apr 15, 2009 7:42 am

I am using Stone Edge and soon Able. Stone Edge recommends using a API certificate over using the API signature. But for some reason Paypal wont let me have both a certificate and a signature.

We used to support the certificate model, before the API signature existed. It was problematic for us. The certificate had to be installed on the server which sometimes made it impossible for merchants using shared hosting. When PayPal created the signature option we chose to only support that method.
